I have always been interested in health, as I have experienced problems from the age of 13 with knee and lower back issues and sought help and guidance over the years from a variety of practitioners. After much reflection and research I decided to change career and become an osteopath as I wanted to change my life and the osteopathic principles spoke the truth to me. I have never looked back.
I graduated from the College of Osteopaths in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Osteopathy. Previous to that I spent eleven years working in the supply chain discipline mainly in the automotive industry. I fully understand the demands of a pressured business environment and the impact that excessive driving, sitting at a computer or laptop and high stress levels can have on the mind and body.
I went on to postgraduate studies and completed an Advanced Diploma in Osteopathy and a Diploma in Naturopathy in 2012. I am also currently completing the final stage of the four year postgraduate course by the Institute of Classical Osteopathy.
I first became interested in naturopathy when family health issues were not making any progress with modern medicine and I started to realise the power of promoting health through lifestyle changes including good nutrition, fasting, stress management, regular exercise, hydrotherapy, fresh air and sunlight. I am passionate about how we can all help ourselves to achieve our optimal health through knowledge and good decisions.
